Philosophy of Geography


This course discusses the domination of the “European intellectual center” over the development of geography in the world and the possibility of reformulating geographical thought according to the various cultures. It also discusses the idea and philosophy of creating a place, landscape and space, and the possibility of transforming it into a text that can be read, analyzed and exploited. The course also discusses the development of the philosophy of geography in the era of modernity and so forth. After that, as well as the places produced by the postmodern era, globalization and the problem of homogeneity of the "spatial product" and a contradiction in the "new heritage" and the new urbanization.
