The purpose of the course is to give you some insight in how a national economy operates and how it is affected by the world economy. The course introduces students to concepts of measuring national output and income, and examines the determination of income, employment, price level, and the multiplier effect in the economy. The course discusses aggregate supply and demand, consumption, investment, government spending, international trade and balance of payment, money and banking, monetary and fiscal policy, inflation, unemployment, and economic growth.

Principles of agricultural accounting systems and type of records, their use and how to compute and use measures of earnings and cost of production to improve agribusiness efficiency areas are covered in this course. The course emphasizes the development of procedures for providing and using financial accounting data in management decision-making. Students will learn to record financial information and summarize that information in the form of general purpose financial statements.
Also the course covers areas of farms management and small agribusiness firms, sources of capital, credit institutions, leasing, capital budgeting, leverage, legal aspects and financial markets. This course gives the economic concept of the credits as one of the capital resources and its relation to the investment principles for processing of farm management. The course focuses attention on the tools of managerial finance: analysis of financial statements, ratio analysis, profitability analysis, debt management, strategic growth decisions, capital budgeting and risk management.

يتناول المساق مفاهيم التمويل والمحاسبة الزراعية والتوسط المالي، احتياجات التمويل والائتمان للمزارع ومنظمات الأعمال الزراعية، طرق وإجراءات الحصول على التمويل واستخدامه بشكل فعال في تشغيل المزرعة. يركز المساق على دور التمويل، والتخطيط المالي، وتحليل القروض وتقييم  الاستثمارات، نسبة الفائدة، الإدارة المالية، والنظام المحاسبي للإدارة والتشغيل وتحليل الأداء المالي لمنظمات الأعمال الزراعية.
