Reyad Shawabkeh is a professor of chemical engineering at University of Jordan. His area of specialty is adsorption and catalysis.
Over 20 years of academic experience he published more than 100 publications with 17 US patents, received many awards and among them a Grand Prize in 1998 by The National Excellence in Environmental Engineering for best research in environmental engineering, and an Excellence in Research Award in 2017 by King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals.
On professional level, Professor Shawabkeh has filled several academic positions such as Assistant to Al-Hussein Bin Talal University president for planning and development, Chairman of Central Tendering Committee at AHU, Director of Dead Sea Studies center at Mutah University and Chairman of Chemical Engineering Department at Mutah University and University of Jordan.
Professor Shawabkeh is an Associate Editor for Arabian Journal of Science & Engineering and a professional Engineer at State of New Mexico-USA.
