This course is sequel to the Introduction to Adult Health Nursing course. It introduces students to the conditions that affect the functional health patterns of an adult patient. It focuses on the bio-psycho-social responses of adults to actual and high risk conditions that affect their functional health patterns. The nursing process will be used as a framework to formulate nursing diagnoses and identify nursing interventions directed towards promoting, maintaining and restoring the health of adults and their families.
Second Year
  
The purpose of this course is to introduce the undergraduate nursing student to the research process as presented in professional nursing literature. It aims at introducing the basic concepts of research, its nature, purposes, methods, literature review and data collection, analysis & utilization. Emphasis will be on the applicability and implementation of the research process to nursing and health related problems. The course provide the students with the opportunity to prepare for research projects.

This course is designed to introduce students to the basic English concepts in health professions and to enable students to practice professional writing. Students will recognize the multiple purposes of documentation and state documentation fundamentals. The professional writing course will help students learn effective strategies for communicating such as hand writing and computer-mediated writing technologies.
Second Year
  
This course aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to assess the individuals' health throughout the stages of life. In addition, the course aims to develop the ability of students to practice health assessment based on the functional health patterns in nursing, which affects the individual's health status. It enables the student to differentiate any deviations from normal status. The students will be trained in the faculty of nursing laboratories.

This course is designed to provide the beginning student with the basic knowledge and positive attitudes related to the patient’s physiological, psychological, and social needs according to the functional health patterns. The course emphasizes individualized patient’s care. Students will be able to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing strategies in order to meet patients’ needs using the nursing process as a framework.

This course provides the graduate students with specialized knowledge and skills in emergency and disaster nursing care which includes fast focused action plan, focused disease triage, diagnosis and treatment of clients from times of health through all stages of acute and traumatic illnesses. In addition to strengthen the students “Capability of independent and clinical judgment, the course will also provide them with the opportunity to enhance their ability to independently solve problems and follow the development of advanced knowledge within the field of emergency care and disaster planning. Additionally, students develop skills in problem solving, decision making and an attitude of caring driven by humanistic and professional values.
