Crop Physiology
My research activities are centered on plant and crop physiology, stress physiology, plant water relations, root to shoot relations and the use of plant growth regulators to enhance drought tolerance of major agronomic crops. Understanding the effect of environmental stresses on plant growth and elucidating the physiological factors that may contribute to plant stress tolerance. Assessment of water and nitrogen uptake and their impact on shoot and root growth, biomass accumulation and partitioning of basic agronomic crops is also of my interest.
