Process Design and Optimization
My research interests are related to process modeling, simulation, operation and optimization of chemical processes. In particular, numerical optimization of bioreactors; computational techniques for extraction processes; and dynamic simulation of chemical processes using commercial software packages like Aspen PLUS, Aspen HYSYS and Honeywell UniSim Design.
Of special interest are:

• Flowsheet decomposition and tearing for process simulation
