 | | This course targets students who have completed the Course Spanish for Specialization (I) in order to extend and deepen their skills and knowledge of the Spanish language and culture as follows:
1. The main four skills are continued to be practiced and developed on similar levels.
2. The above mentioned skills are used through situations and contexts of the daily life as authentically as possible for purposes of communication.
3. The students are acquainted with more typical scenes of the Spanish speaking countries' culture.
4. More complex grammar units are introduced, practiced and enhanced with practical examples

| | This Course targets students with no prior knowledge of the Spanish language and aims at :
1. Gradually introducing and developing all main four skills : reading, writing, speaking and listening of the Spanish language.
2. Using the above mentioned skills through situations and contexts of the daily life as authentically as possible.
3. Acquainting them with typical scenes of the Spanish speaking countries ` culture.

| | Introducir a los alumnos en los aspectos más sobresalientes de los estudios de traducción para aprender un estudio de hecho y el proceso de la traducción.
2. Elaborar algunas traducciones del español al árabe de mediana complejidad empleando las estrategias de traducción más adecuadas para cada caso.
3. Explicar los problemas a los que se enfrenta diariamente un traductor y también los procedimientos técnicos de traducción que debería utilizar éste para solucionarlos.
4. Preparar a los alumnos el modo de traducir varios textos literarios, periodísticos y jurídicos.

| | Esta asignatura pretende fomentar el aprendizaje de la gramática desde un punto de vista comunicativo. De este modo, el objetivo de la asignatura será el de ubicar el uso gramatical del grupo nominal y de los pronombres en español en el lugar adecuado dentro del sistema de comunicación. El alumno aprenderá a utilizar la gramática y a aplicarla en las diferentes situaciones comunicativas.

| | In combination with Grammar (1), the aim of this course is to enrich the students’ grammatical knowledge of the Spanish language. It will introduce students deeper into the various morphological and syntactic processes previously studied. | 2019-2020 |
| | In combination with Spanish for Beginners (2) and (3), this course introduces students to the basics of Spanish language and Spanish culture. The aim of the course is to develop communication skills in everyday life and simple situations. | | The course is regarded as a continuation for the other two Spanish course (Spanish for Specialization 1 & 2); it is aimed at providing basic intermediate level (B1) lexical and communication tools that allow students to enhance the use of Spanish language and acquire cultural knowledge that facilitates language acquisition in real context. It contains the four language skills that are available in the other two courses: listening comprehension, writing, reading and oral skills, but on a more advanced level. After finishing this course, the student will be able to understand main points of clear texts related to topics of interest; s/he will be able to operate in most urban transactions; will be able to produce simple and coherent texts on familiar topics and will be able to describe experiences, events, desires, aspirations, opinions and plans.
The course contains some new topics and grammatical content such as: description of people’s personality, conditional tense, Pluperfect and other compound with haber, Present Subjunctive, and other more topics related to the Spanish society and culture.
