KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

Dr. Ibrahim Mansour is highly educated, specialized and experienced senior digital communication engineer with 23 years of practical experience in the telecommunication sector. He has an excellent knowledge of the Jordanian market due to his past and long experience in the private and public sectors, which enables him to carry out designated jobs professionally and efficiently. He developed a special expertise in technical and financial issues of digital services (e-systems) for enterprises. Dr. Mansour worked in several projects with international consulting firms and donors, including World Bank, in Jordan and the region. Recently he worked as the director of the Global Development Learning Network (GDLN) Center “Atheer”. Dr. Mansour is an active member in specialized comities related to telecommunication in Jordan. Also he is the principal author of long list of technical papers and reports dealing with optical communication components and systems, e-systems and automation, e-learning. Dr. Mansour is a reviewer for many specialized international refereed scientific journals in fields of optical communication, electrical and electronic engineering. Dr. Mansour has outstanding professional experience in electronics, digital communication, optical communications, e-systems, e-learning, computer applications and networks, automation and process control, Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA), digital signal procession, sensors, electrical engineering related subjects (electronics, power, communication, control and computer engineering). Being a researcher and expert in electronic and digital communication systems makes him an outstanding candidate for providing proposed technical and training expertise.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

 

Dr. Mansour is a Registered Charter Engineer in the field of Electrical Engineering at the Jordan Engineers Association since the year 1986.

 

Academic

Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Jordan, Jordan (February 1997-now). The tasks include preparing technical specifications for most of tenders and equipment purchased for laboratories, participating in preparation of study plans and required personnel to run different divisions in the department.

Assistant Dean for IT affairs – Deanship of Academic Research (September 1998-2005). During that period I was responsible for computer network and services; developing e-learning solutions (Web based publishing systems of scientific research – Dirasat Journal On-Line); developing web based system for University staff including professional information and research; developing e-system for university publications.

Director of the Global Development Learning Network (GDLN) Center “Atheer” (September 2008 - now). The center is responsible for e-learning and distance learning services in the university, it is equipped with video conferencing facility connected with outside through Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) telephone lines, digital satellite and Internet Protocol network (IP).
