The course focuses on the concept of Instructional Technology, and it’s relation to system approach. The new role of Learner and instructor, relationship between instructional technology and information technology, networking and multimedia, open learning techniques. It, also, introduces the barbiers to educational technology transfer and future trends and research on instructional technology.
This course deals with the concept of computer as a device; the role of computer technology in the learning and teaching process; Computer-Aided Instruction; Computer-managed instruction; Computer applications in education; Evaluating educational computer programs; Internet and its use in education; Data processing and statistical packages.
Essential knowledge of computer technology and literacy; the role of ;computer technology in the learning and teaching process; computer literacy; computer-aided instruction; computer-managed instruction; computer applications in education; operating systems; word processing; spreadsheet; and databases; using computer programs such as Microsoft publisher, Excel, word and PowerPoint in classroom practices.
The course discusses the concept of instructional design, instructional design theory, instructional models, and related learning theories, common instructional models in education.
This course aimed to enhance the student knowledge of the meanings of terms used in the design of individual and group learning. Understand the design relationship of learning materials in the design of teaching. Be familiar with the theoretical, communicative, psychological and educational principles in the design of learning materials. Be aware of the systemic framework in the design of learning materials. Identify some individual and group learning design models. Identify learning styles, individual and group learning, group learning, and design methods. To personally practice some of the skills acquired from the course in terms of design, production, use and evaluation of individual and group learning material
The course discusses the concept of multimedia, multimedia elements, multimedia principles, cognivitism theory and multimedia. The student should know the most basic principles in the design of computerized educational programs. The student shall apply the constructive method of computer use in education. The student shall employ the principles and theories used in the design of computerized educational programs. The student shall apply the basic principles of design, presentation of information, and use of multimedia. The student should take into account the basic standards in the evaluation of computerized educational programs. The student should design an educational unit (in the field of specialization) using some application programs
This course covers educational, recreational and educational programs and their importance for children and their impact on the growth of their different skills and different strategies to employ these programs for educational purposes and evaluation criteria, and the foundations of design, production and analysis of educational programs and practical applications.
