This course is intended to provide an introduction to Audiology.  It introduces the physics and psychophysics of sound and provides an overview of the basic anatomy and physiology of the auditory system. The course also introduces the profession of audiology: Behavioral and objective audiometric evaluation and screening procedure, types, degrees, and configurations of hearing loss, causes of auditory disorders and their audiometric correlates, and an overview of audiological intervention tools.
  
This course is intended to provide an introduction to cochlear implants. Course content will provide an introduction to the impact of profound hearing loss on adults and children and a brief history of cochlear implants. Additional topics will cover candidacy evaluations and criteria, surgery, device considerations, CI fitting, speech processing strategy, pediatric and adult outcomes, and current research topics.
  
The purpose of this course is to provide students with an introductory foundation in amplification, including: hearing aids and their components, electroacoustic characteristics, circuitry options and features, custom earmolds, assessment considerations, selection processes, fitting protocols, as well as assistive and alternative devices available to those with varying degrees of hearing loss.
  
This course aims to introduce students to the system of work in audiology clinics; different audiological disorders; techniques used in diagnosis and treatment.
  
This course aims to train students to practice evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of individuals with hearing impairments under the direct supervision of the audiologist.
