This course deals with non-prescription medications that are safe to be purchased and used by the general public without a prescription. However, professional advice from different members in the medical field -most importantly pharmacists- is highly regarded to guarantee maximum patient satisfaction and compliance.

This course is continuation of the preceding Pharmacology_1. Here, the course deals with greater emphasis and focus on two systems: the endocrine and central nervous systems. Also, few chapters are dedicated for chemotherapeutic agents used to combat various forms of microbes in different disease situations.

This course aims at introducing the student to some of the basic , yet crucial, concepts in the pathophysiology of different diseases. Also, it is expected towards the end of the course that a student is able to appreciate some of the most important and familiar ailments in different systems via making a logical connection between the physiology of a certain tissue/organ/system and the pathology of that disease.
