This course covers pediatric and geriatric swallowing disorders resulting from structural and neurological lesions of the central and peripheral nervous systems. Emphasis is placed on etiology and characteristics of different dysphagic symptoms, as well as on diagnostic methods and management of specific symptoms.

This course focus is on the nature of the speech disorders associated with cleft lip and palate and associated craniofacial anomalies. Emphasis is made on the crucial role of Speech-language pathologist in multi-disciplinary team.
