Dr. Hussein A. Alhawamdeh is an assistant professor of English literature at the Department of English language and literature in the University of Jordan. He obtained his Ph.D in English literature from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2011. His reserach interests revolve around Orientalism in Renaissance and Restoration drama, Shakespeare's appropriation in Arabic literature, feminism, postcolonialism, and comparative literature. He publsihed a number of articles in the fields of Orientalism in early and modern English literature and the appropriation of Shakespeare in Arabic literature. Recently, Dr. Alhawamdeh has joined the advisory board of Transnational Literature, published by Flinders University in Australia.
