Adult Health Nursing I       (3 Credit Hours)
 This course focuses on the bio-psycho-social responses of adults to actual and high risk conditions that affect their functional health patterns. These conditions may be acute or long term and the focus will be on selected functional health patterns: Health perception-health management, and activity-exercise patterns. The nursing process will be used as a framework to formulate nursing diagnoses and identify nursing interventions directed towards promoting, maintaining and restoring the health of adults and their families

Foundations of Professional Nursing- I   (3 Credit Hours)
  This introductory course introduces the beginner nursing student to the nature of professional nursing and its history and professional nursing roles. It is designed to provide the student with the basic knowledge and positive attitudes while providing care for clients and their families. The concepts include: wellness, health, nursing profession nursing process, and nursing theories. Also this course introduces the student to communication and interpersonal relations skill to prepare him/her to become effective member of a collaborative health care team. Critical thinking and decision making will be also addressed as a guide for a safe, competent and skillful nursing practice.

Pathophysiology      (3 Credit Hours)
 This course focuses on the physiological changes that occur due to internal and external environmental stressors, pathological processes and the responses that produce signs and symptoms. Underlying concepts and principles common to major health problems will be presented. The content will focus also on the special health needs throughout the life span. The concepts explored will assist the student in clinical decision making and actions related to nursing care.

Scientific Research Methods     (3 Credit Hours)
 The purpose of this course is to introduce the undergraduate nursing student to the research process as presented in professional nursing literature. It aims at introducing the basic concepts of research, its nature, purposes, methods, literature review and data collection, analysis & utilization. Emphasis will be on the applicability and implementation of the research process to nursing and health related problems.

 This course is designed to introduce the special students of school teachers to the basic concepts and theories of the teaching-learning process and the theoretical considerations in the design and development of health education programs for adult learner.  Emphasis will be on planning, implementing and evaluating health education programs applied to the individual patient, family and community

Curriculum Building in Nursing
The course examines the role of the nurse educator within societal institution, beginning with a historical overview as an antecedent to the current status of nursing education. Through analysis of education in nursing, as well as the current issues and trends, the student will develop a basis for influencing and constructing to society and the nursing  is analyzed. The student will combine concepts and theories to formulate a systematic, logical and organized approach to curriculum design in an educational program.

This course introduces the student to the history, current issues and problems influencing nursing practice and education and possible approaches in dealing with them. Discussion of recent trends in nursing services and nursing education and their possible application to the nursing profession will be covered.

Community Health Nursing        (3 Credit Hours)
This course is designed to help the student to gain good broad perspective of community health nursing. Emphasis will be on the family in the community. Knowledge and skills learned previously are used to guide the concepts of the individuals within the family and the family within the community either in illness or in wellness. Concepts of the nursing process within the family and self care framework are applied. Analysis of roles and interactions of the community health nurse with the individual family and community is to be worked upon (such as nursing roles in school health, occupational health, and roles for clients with special needs. Related topics to the family and community health will be discussed.

In this course the student will develop a working knowledge of instructional systems design as it applies to the development of nursing curricula and course ware. A survey of instructional models and adult learning theories will prepare the student for an in-depth examination of the instructional design process including the functions and interaction among members of the design teams, instructional analysis, and the development of performance based learning activities, assessment options and strategies for the development of an instructional media.

Trends & Issues in the Practice of Oncology Nursing

This course is designed to prepare the student for his role as a specialized professional in oncology nursing in establishing the general guidelines and policies related to cancer and to be an important member in the health team of cancer in order to participate in taking the treatment, nursing , and ethical decisions that will affect patients and their families. This course will emphasize on the advocate role of the oncology nurse. This course will discuss some of professional, ethical, cultural, and spiritual dilemma related to oncology nursing.

This course is designed to supply the student with the different scientific methods in research and emphasize the importance of the scientific research to develop the nursing knowledge. This course will discuss the importance of the role of the professional nurse in the research from participation in research projects in his work and the utilization of research results in the daily practices for oncology nursing.

This course is designed to provide the beginner nursing student with essential knowledge and positive attitudes related to the basic physiological and psycho social human needs and their alterations organized according to the functional health patterns. This knowledge will assist the student to understand holistic care modalities and complementary therapies and therefore, plan and implement nursing strategies to meet the client's needs in a variety of clinical settings using the nursing process as a framework.
