Description
Academic Year
Over the counter
This course deals with non-prescription medications that are safe to be purchased and used by the general public without a prescription. However, professional advice from different members in the medical field -most importantly pharmacists- is highly regarded to guarantee maximum patient satisfaction and compliance.
2009-2010
Pharmacology_2
This course is continuation of the preceding Pharmacology_1. Here, the course deals with greater emphasis and focus on two systems: the endocrine and central nervous systems. Also, few chapters are dedicated for chemotherapeutic agents used to combat various forms of microbes in different disease situations.
2009-2010
Pathophysiology
This course aims at introducing the student to some of the basic , yet crucial, concepts in the pathophysiology of different diseases. Also, it is expected towards the end of the course that a student is able to appreciate some of the most important and familiar ailments in different systems via making a logical connection between the physiology of a certain tissue/organ/system and the pathology of that disease.
