About Me

I am working as an assistant professor in the department of Horticulture and Crop Science, the faculty of Agriculture, University of Jordan. He has a Ph.D. in plant molecular biology from University of Goettingen, Germany. My Ph.D. work was related to gene expression regulation and the role of transcription factors in plants. My Ph.D. thesis title is: Isolation and Characterization of Proteins Interacting with Tobacco Transcription Factor TGA2.2. I worked as research assistant professor at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (2005-2006). Currently, my interests are related to gene expression regulation in plants, bioinformatics, transcription factors, and molecular responses under biotic and abiotic stresses.  Currently I am involved in several funded projects related to the enhancement of drought tolerance in different plant species. I have the capability to deal with several laboratory instruments and supplies and good knowledge of scientific research and related procedures. I can use my molecular biology experience in cloning cDNA encoding genes of interest. Using standard molecular biology techniques, I can produce DNA constructs overexpressing genes in plants. Additionally, I am capable of analyzing transgenic plants harbouring genes of interest.
