Details

I am majorly involved in research at both translational clinical and basic levels. I am currently involved in two research projects studying the involvement of arginase enzyme in vascular dysfunction in diabetes. Additionally, other research projects in my lab include studying the effect of arginase inhibition on breast cancer cell proliferation. To support my research, I have received international and national funding and fellowships. Amongst them, in 2014, I have received the UNESCO L’OREAL For Women in Science international fellowship to support my research on identifying novel biomarkers for the development of vascular complication of diabetes. In 2012 I have received the pan Arab fellowship to support work to unravel the transcriptional regulation of arginase and its role in controlling vessel dysfunction in diabetes. I also recieved funding by the university of Jordan deanship of research in 2013 and 2017 .
