Dr Salah Aburuz earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Pharmacy from the School of Pharmacy, Queens University Belfast, The United Kingdom, 2003. Currently he is Head of Department of Clinical Pharmacy. Dr Aburuz and his colleagues have established the department of Pharmaceutical care In 2008 at the University of Jordan Hospital, which is considered the first of its kind in the region at a university teaching hospital. He was also the head of this department till 2010. He published more than 30 papers and scientific abstracts in international Journals and Conferences in the field of Clinical Pharmacy. Presently he is working on several projects including Clinical Trials. The Main goals of his research and practice is to establish pharmaceutical care as professional practice in Jordan and to promote evidence based medication use and prescribing with the goal of improving disease control and health related quality of life of patients with chronic diseases.
