My research activities focus on plant and crop physiology, particularly plant responses to drought and salinity stress. Key areas include plant water relations, root–shoot dynamics, and the use of growth regulators to enhance stress tolerance in major crops. Water and nitrogen uptake, biomass partitioning, and nutrient use efficiency are evaluated, alongside plant–microbe interactions. Efforts are also directed toward climate change adaptation and mitigating physiological disorders related to abiotic stress, especially in arid and semi-arid regions.
