About Me

I am an accomplished Associate Professor specializing in Information Technology, with a particular focus on E-Learning Systems, User Experience (UX) Design, and IT Management. Currently, I am part of the Information Technology Department at the College of Information Technology, University of Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates.

Throughout my academic career, I have held significant roles, including serving as the Dean of the College of Information Technology at the University of Fujairah from August 2022 to July 2024. Prior to this, I was an Associate Professor at the University of Jordan, where I also undertook leadership positions such as General Registrar and Director of the Registration and Admission Unit.

My research interests encompass E-Learning Systems, M-Learning Systems, Usability, UX/UI Design, System Requirements and Analysis, Mobile Technology, E/M-commerce, E/M-government, E-business, Machine Learning, and Human-Computer Interaction. I am particularly passionate about leveraging technology to enhance services and quality, especially in the realm of education.

In terms of education, I earned my Ph.D. in Information Systems and Technology with a focus on Human-Computer Interaction from the University of Central Lancashire in the UK in 2011. I also hold an MPhil in the same field and a BSc in Computer Science from Mu’tah University in Jordan.

Beyond academia, I have contributed to various research publications and served as a reviewer for several international journals and conferences. I am also a member of professional organizations such as IEEE and ACM, reflecting my commitment to staying abreast of developments in my field.

Fluent in both English and Arabic, I bring a diverse cultural perspective to my work. My extensive experience in teaching, research, and administrative roles underscores my dedication to fostering educational excellence and innovation in the field of Information Technology.​
