We emphasize in our lab on aspects of pharmaceutical technology such as: statistical modeling and optimization of pharmaceutical processes and formulations; formulation and process factors affecting in vitro/in vivo performance of dosage forms and controlled release technology.

This area of our research is concerned with the study of solid forms of drug substances with special emphasis on the amorphousization of drug substances and stabilization of amorphous forms as well as salt formation as a tool to optimize pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical properties of drug substances.

This area of our research entails development and validation of methods for the analysis of drugs in different pharmaceutical and biological matrices and marker chemicals as standardization tool in herbal products and raw materials. We are also working with analytical chemists on the automation of pharmaceutical analytical procedures for handling large sample loads.

Experimental design and statistical analysis as tools in pharmaceutical and biomedical research with specific emphasis on statistical modeling and optimization techniques and application in Quality by Design (QbD) and statistical process control (SPC).
